About Us

Rooted in Research, Driven by Purpose 🌱

Voodoolily Publishing Company was founded in 2019 in Haugesund, Norway, by Zohreh (Rose) Mehravipour—a sociologist, author, and PhD candidate at the University of Bergen—alongside Pieter H. Dubbeld, a seasoned logistics executive and advocate for cross-cultural understanding.

Rose’s academic work on children’s socialization, radicalization, and integration led her to a powerful insight: the most effective peacebuilding begins in childhood, through stories. Rather than waiting for policy to catch up, she chose to act—translating findings from psychology, sociology, and the humanities into beautifully illustrated children’s books that nurture empathy, celebrate diversity, and prevent division before it takes root.

Today, Voodoolily stands at the intersection of science, art, and social impact—creating inclusive narratives that speak to every child, regardless of background or ability.
